The emerald ash borer is a devastating invasive pest that will attack and kill ash trees. In 2006 the emerald ash borer was discovered in northern Illinois and has been moving south every year. In 2012 a confirmed infestation was located just East of our local area. To provide protection against the emerald ash borer, starting now, ash trees will need an annual insecticide application during the month of June.
